IF you ever lived in a country or State that believes and
uses the death penality then you would see how it works..
It is not a bad thing, trust me..
I have seen it all my life, and being a female
and in medical, the ones that do get the death penality
still get off to easy for their crimes..

In the Guildford four trial the judge said that if the death penalty still existed he would have had no hesitation in giving a death sentence. That's one good reason for not having capital punishment - innocent people get caught up in the system.

However, if the person concerned has admitted a particularly gruesome crime, and/or the evidence is overwhelmingly against them that there is absolutely no doubt then I think it could have been considered (had it still been in law).
